Our Research

In-depth research published by The Man Cave, exploring the worlds of teenage boys, and the positive impact of our programs.

What happens when a whole school says yes to The Man Cave

Three years in, this school didn't just run a workshop, it built The Man Cave into how it teaches boys to be men. Here's what changed when prevention became part of the culture, not just a day on the calendar.

Boys need us now more than ever

Boys are facing challenges. The outcomes are compounding. Our workshops prove there is hope. With investment, we can support boys.

How positive role models can increase health outcomes in primary prevention

Primary prevention efforts targeting teenage boys are effective when delivered with age-appropriate, emotional development programs.

Who is Andrew Tate and why do young men relate to him?

What is it about him and his perspectives that young men connect with, and what is it that they don’t like?

After a visit from The Man Cave...

95%
of boys say the workshop had a positive impact on them
91%
of boys feel motivated to grow and change after the workshop
90%
of boys have greater trust in their friends after the workshop
The program offered the boys in our Year 10 cohort a great opportunity to open up and discuss the value of relationships as young men. In complete honesty, I will take these lessons from the workshop through the rest of my life and definitely believe more young Australian men deserve to learn them too.
School Vice Principal

After attending multiple workshops, the results for participants only continued to improve:

16%
increase in the extent to which boys reported they were fostering meaningful relationships with their parents and peers
15%
increase in the extent to which boys were articulating their emotional state on a regular basis
